Service Description

Our PD Day drop-in programs give children a peak into what Forest and Nature School is all about. We can't cram everything we experience in a program into one day but we can share the highlights! Come with us to connect our senses to the forest, smell the warm spring air, hear the birds speaking, play in the mud, watch as the forest continues to wake up. We explore the land with curiosity and wonder. We navigate skills that can build self-esteem, confidence, patience, and focus. Through questions, problem solving, practice and mishaps we can know oneself, our limitations, our interests... What we can explore in the forest, not limited to; • How we respect the land we are on • Playing safely in the forest • Nature Journaling • Indigenous roots of the land • Team building skills • Plant/animal tracks identification • Our bodies consent/boundaries • Fall season changes and benefits • Cooking on the fire We hope to welcome you in a child-led environment, where we create bond, trust, and friendships. DETAILS: Our facilitators are bilingual, and as such, our programs are fully bilingual A follow up email will be sent to sign documents before the program starts. A payment is required upon signing up to secure your spot in the program. We accept credit cards as well as etransfers. Please send all etransfers to wildfaunanatureplay@gmail.com.

We want to acknowledge that we play, learn & explore on the stolen lands and unceeded Anishinabewaki territory of the Anishinaabe people; and the lands of the Omamiwininiwag (Algonquin) people and Kanien'kehá:ka (Mohawk) people of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy of six nations.

We offer an inclusive space by honoring everyone’s unique being, their race, their individual beliefs, language, religion & gender identities & fluidities. We honor our human peer’s pronouns and consistently respect & use them. We extend love to all our living relations by fully respecting all individual needs without judgment.
